If people are asking about dogs and are unwilling to see a vet shouldn't we still give them the best advice?

I see alot of people just say ';Go to a vet'; or ';What is wrong with you you cruel person.. etc etc';

I agree that the vet is the best place to bring a pet when they have a problem or are injured. However I realize that not everyone is willing or able to do so. But for the sake of the dog, I'm willing to tell them all they can possibly do themselves for the dog.. even if it may not be as good as a vet.. it's better than nothing.

I'd rather have someone at least give first-aid or even a home remedy rather than nothing to a dog in pain or distress or illness. By simply saying ';Go to a vet'; you don't really change the persons mind.. but maybe, just , maybe if you tell them what they CAN do to help.. the dog will be better off than with no help at all. Telling someone to ';go to the vet'; when they can't or won't do it, doesn't help the dog or cat.. So shouldn't we give the best advice we can and include all options? Instead of just lashing out with hate and contempt ?If people are asking about dogs and are unwilling to see a vet shouldn't we still give them the best advice?
I don't think they need to go to the vet for every little thing. I take my dogs for their yearly check-ups %26amp; shots, but if something comes up, I first try treating it myself before calling the vet.

Just like people they can get sore %26amp; bruise, have upset stomachs, get constipated or get diarhea. But, we don't run to the doctor every time we get a headache, a tummy ache, bump our elbows or stub our toes. I have four over the counter medications that I keep on hand at all times for my dogs. I love my dogs %26amp; I take care of them, but the answer to every question is not ';go to the vet';.

Also, to accuse people of abuse, or not deserving a pet because they are asking advise or can't afford to take them to the vet is bogus. Often situations %26amp; finances change. Is a loving person really supposed to abandon their animal, whom they have bonded with to strangers? Have these people ever been to an animal shelter? There are enough homeless dogs %26amp; cats already. Its better for someone to keep the animals they have commited to %26amp; love them %26amp; do the best they can for them. A dog is loyal to the end, and would rather be with the person they love than anything else in the world.If people are asking about dogs and are unwilling to see a vet shouldn't we still give them the best advice?
The vast majority of people on this forum don't have the knowledge %26amp; expertise that a vet does, so while it can be helpful to give some advise, it might not be the right advise. Ameter advise is fine but a vet should always be consulted
i agree...people should just bring their animal to a vet...but some are not able to...so we should give them the best advise....and some people might not know that the animals condition is bad enough to bring to the vet
Absolutely.
i agree with you....too many innocent animals die each year. its absolutely horrible
agreed.
I think you are right we need to help when we can. Nice soap box.
give them good advice
Sometimes a dog can be helped with advice from others on here...but sometimes the dog really does need to see a Vet...and if the person is not willing or can't afford to take the dog to that vet, should he even be allowed to own a dog? You made a commitment to this animal when you decided to get it....if you can't treat him properly medically, maybe it's time you gave him up to someone who will be able to take good care of him
Well said, I totally agree with you on this. I feel so sorry for the dogs when they really need help and people can be so mean. Just saying get to the vet is not helping the poor animal. Further more not everyone can afford a vet anymore but they still love their pets and need advice.
People do deserve the best advice on this matter as any other Q. Problem is the asker can take the advice of anyone and have you see some of the answers given? Not everyone should be given answers on this type of thing.

Best way to answer is let them know the vet is always the best to go.

I have seen great answers but you can't always know who the asker will choose to listen to.
Because I (nor are the majority of the people on this forum) am not a vet, nor do I pretend to be, and I'm not going to pretend to have the solution to dog with two broken legs that can't walk, or for a dog that just ingested antifreeze (BOTH of which questions I have seen on this forum). That person NEEDS to take their dog to a vet, whether they're ';willing to'; or not. Not providing a dog proper veterinary care is animal abuse by law, and like I told the last person who asked this question only 5 minutes ago, the people who are abusing these animals need to know that what they are doing is wrong and that their animal should be at a vet. Sure, if someones dog has a little runny stool, I'm more than happy to tell them what I think will help, but people who come on here with questions about their animals who have serious life threatening ailments need to go to a vet, not receive free advice from random strangers with (sometimes) little or no qualifications.
I know a lot about dogs, but once in awhile I will ask a question for peoples opinions on what to do. When I do, I know it's not something I have to see a vet for. Like today I asked a question about my aunts bichon that I'm watching and won't stop barking. I got so many. ';call his vet'; answers. Are people actually here to help, or to get the 2 points? I'm not going to call a vet over a barking dog!! I hate when I see people asking questions about dog food and people saying to call a vet. This site is here to help people. I will help people the best I can with the best advice I know.

Also not everyone can take a dog to a vet for every minor problem that can be fixed at home. The econemy is getting worse everyday. Or am I the only one who is paying attention to whats going on in this country?
What you said is right on. Instead of the lectures and rude comments, try to give the best advice that you can. Even if it doesn't help that person, it might help someone else. Didn't mama ever teach you 'if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all'? Sure some people set themselves up for criticism, but most are just asking for some friendly advice. We can all learn from the Answers site, and how to be polite is one of the lessons. Maybe it's just better to pass than to spew all that anger.
We need to assist everyone all we can, sometimes an over the counter remedy is an option as opposed to a vet visit. With the economy, gas prices, food prices...some owners who could afford to ';take the dog to the vet'; are no longer able to do so.

Lets continue helping everyone as best we can, and please do not judge a person's ownership capability on reluctance to visit the Vet...most would if they could afford it!
I do believe in giving the best advice that one can, in the most polite way possible. It never helps the animal to be abusive towards the person who is seeking advice.

I'm new here, so I'm not entirely sure how many Americans (like me) are posting here. One reason I'm reluctant to give anything that looks like medical advice (other than go to the vet/doctor) is that such advice given by laymen (like me) can be actionable under U.S. laws. I'm an expert on ferrets, for example, and can talk people through a number of crises involving them, but even though I have some pretty extensive medical knowledge about them, I feel legally bound to tell people to seek veterinary attention, in the end.
I will admit it does get carried away with the ';call the vet'; stuff. I have seen some questions where the answerers put call the vet and all I could think is are you serious, the vet will tell you to call a trainer. But at the same time there are some questions where the only real and obvious option is for the person to take their dog to the vet. Maybe if enough people tell them that their only option is a vet, they will see the light and actually take their dog there.

Edit, I do agree that when the only option is to go to the vet, it is better to explain why so that they fully understand that the vet is the way to go, instead of just saying vet now, or get off your @ss and go to the vet. They are more likely to listen if you explain the reason behind it.
Okay...personal experience. I used to go to terrificpets.com for advice before I took them to the vet-simply for advice. You would not believe the people on there that will trash you for asking for advice on a forum instead of taking them to the vet first. I also realize they in most cases a vet check is needed...but in other cases like ';My cat scratches it's rear twice a day, what should I do'; - of course that statement was complete sarcasm! But it's not that people aren't responsible pet owners...we all realize that vet checks are needed...but in some cases..they aren't. I was accused of being a horrible pet owner because I asked a question about my 16 year old cat. It was his time to go....he was comfortable in my room in his basket- but was taking longer to ';go'; that expected....so I wrote on a forum about what I should do...let him go naturally...or take him to be pts. He wasn't in pain....but I had someone riding me about not being responsible and how I shouldn't own animals because I clearly abused them. It didn't make any sense and it made me feel horrible. SO...after the long answer...the short answer is....yes. Of course we'll always say ';take him/her to the vet.'; but I believe that we can still help without being hateful and throwing accusations.
I had asked a question a few weeks ago why sometimes when the only answer is go to the vet because what ever the symptoms are they may be worse then how its explained and so on and sometime the askers do get upset.

But I have never said it in a rude or mean way

I also posted another question with ppl being rude and mean to the asker and if they felt high and mighty by doing so,when some other person went back to my first question trying to make it seem like I was condradicting myself,clearly the ones that attacked me didn't see how bot questions I asked were totally different

Mind you that question got deleted as it was reported cause i made a comment to the one who found and posted my first question

I try and give the best advice and if i don't know anything about the what they are asking,I won't even answer it

I agree with you,in every thing you say,I will suggest call your vet and ask,phone calls are free

Sometime people have made appointment,they clearly state they have an appointment but in the meantime wonders if anyone has experiensed what their dogs has i guess to to stay a little calm before the visit,and what do some answer,make an appointment,they don't read the whole thing

I am also so tired of people saying don't breed,go to a shelter and see how many puppies, dogs abandoned

I don't bash the ones who bred their dogs,I actually can help in this

For all those who say go to a shelter,I say instead of bashing breeders or new breeders,go to the shelter pick out 4 dogs a day and find them homes,instead of sitting at their computers and bashing and or being rude

I also agree the Vet is the best place for advice,but like you said times are getting rough

and i bet all those who say you shouldn't of gotten a dog if you didn't have the funds to pay for emergencies,

I wonder how many of them who bash them actually have major money just sitting in their accounts for their pets

they all can't be loaded...

to maltese lover,how is it cruel and abuse by law when these people really don't know?

are you in the USA,cause if you are,did you see Oprah, where a puppy mill had dead dogs on their properties and the law did nothing!!!!!!!!!!

and those puppy mills can still run them,and the police,politions do squat

Dogs are considered live stock,live stock to me is cattle,pigs,chicken farms
people who have animals than dont take care of them shouldnt ever own 1..but any body who starve the dog/cat even if they can afford them selves to eat.. they dont deserve pets..some options are take the animla to the vet for the owners should be taught a lesson through beaten or wat ever the same as wat ever they did to thier pet.. ';wat goes around comes around';...

  • People, I've been waiting for over 20 minutes, please give me some advice!?

    I'm going to be honest with you my friends. I am 37 years old, and I haven't led the greatest of lives. I have only kissed one girl, and that's when I was 16. She said it was a bet. I am still a virgin, I've never had a girlfriend. My Gears of War clan members all say it's fine, but I feel so depressed. I live with my mother and father. My father gets angry with me a lot. Always saying I'm a loser. He tells me to leave the house and get a job. Is there really something wrong with the way I live? And what should I do about the virgin situation? If there are any girls out there that want to talk with me over a Gears of War match, tell me.People, I've been waiting for over 20 minutes, please give me some advice!?
    You shouldn't put yourself down like that. Putting yourself down like the way your doing is actually unattractive. If you want to attract a woman, be confident in yourself. Most women like confident men. Note: I said confident, not egotistical.

    I'll be honest to say that you're current living conditions do seem a bit... odd... for a person your age(yet, this is coming from 17 year old, so you shouldn't feel offended). If your so concern about your life, maybe it's best if you take some action to improve it. Have you actually put some thought into actually moving out and really looking for a job like your father suggested. It may seem like your dad's nagging you, but he wouldn't be nagging you without a decent reason. He's your father, so I imagine he must be concerned about you. You're well beyond the age where you should have seeked a life outside your parent's house. This means having a place of your own and having a well established career. You don't have these things and he must be concerned about where your life is heading right now.

    Still a virgin? Easy, go out! There is a buzzing life outside of playing with Gears of War. Maybe you should starting going out on a regular basis and play the field instead of being cooped up and playing a game all the time? Or, use your interest in the game to seek women who have common interests. Where to find these women? I'd think the internet is a decent place to check. If not, go to places where you are sure people who share common interests with you go to. I'm not saying go bone the first woman you get interesting in. Work up the confidence to meet women and start dating often to find that person who will eventually... help you lose your virginity if you wanna lose it that badly.

    I apologize if I sound too critical or if I've offended you in any way. That was certainly not my intention.People, I've been waiting for over 20 minutes, please give me some advice!?
    If this is a joke, then go away, you're not wanted.

    If it's true, then here's my advice: Get out and see the world! Buy a new outfit, get your hair done, and go out to a club. Get a part time job and go back to school. Move to a nice apartment near a lot of nice people, and get to know them. Don't spend your whole day inside. Go out. Go out! You'll have the time of your life. If you're a nice guy and it shows, girls will naturally flock to you if you DON'T try.

    Hope that helps. :)
    You are waiting for 37 years instead of 20 min.
    Go to the singles section ffs. This is a games section not a singles/matchmaking section. and your 37???????????????????? Go to a club if u wanna shag
    For your sex problem 1 word prostitutes
    no it isn't good to live with ur parents at age 37, especially that you dont have a job to help them out...staying a virgin isnt really a problem but you definately need to go find a job.
    listen,its good that your a virgin,and maybe you should get a job.you would meet alot of people that way

    People who feel the need to offer unsolicited advice? (sort of a rant, sorry!)?

    My husband and I have one son:

    Ian (after my father in law) Carle (after my father)

    we are expecting our second son this coming september and we are naming him:

    Shaun (after a dear friend who passed away) Forsythe (after my husband's Scottish clan).

    We have had the name Shaun picked out before I even became pregnant. My father in law recently called to tell me he would prefer it if I would choose a different name for our new son because he already knows too many Shauns and he would like something new. Then he told me he strongly recommends we name the baby ';Andrew Stewart'; (Stewart after his brother!!) Now every time I see him, he pulls me aside and tries to convince me to change names! I have kindly told him that we are very settled on the name Shaun and it holds special significance to both my husband and myself, but it just doesn't seem to sink in!

    Since when does the grandparent name the child??People who feel the need to offer unsolicited advice? (sort of a rant, sorry!)?
    grandparents name the child since the day the parents allow it.People who feel the need to offer unsolicited advice? (sort of a rant, sorry!)?
    Some people just feel it is their place to ';offer'; or ';suggest'; things. Considering you already have 2, I'm surprised you're not used to it already!! LOL You eventually learn to just let it go in one ear and out the other. They won't change their ways, so just ignore it. Especially if you've already explained why you are doing what you are doing. Or have your husband tell his dad to drop it already!
    he'll have to get over it, the parents choose the name of their children unless they say otherwise, Shaun is a loverly name, much better than Stuart
    They don't... stick your ground, I went through the same thing when I named my last daughter Charlie. Plus I like Forsythe, its different and the street my grandparents have lived on forever and its pretty. I just think its funny he says he knows too many shauns because andrew is pretty popular too. But who knows maybe he has a problem or bad memories with someone named shaun; yet grandkids should take that feeling away.
    At least it is just your FIL. I had all my in laws telling me I couldn't name my child what I wanted...So I had to settle on a name that I thought was okay, but my son is growing into it. I have already chosen my future daughter's name, I am not telling anyone her name until her birth certificate has been filed. ;) I know exactly how you feel. If the name you choose has a significant meaning to you and your hubby, that is all that matters. Your FIL will get over it once he sees his new grandson...
    Tell him that Mary Queen of Scots came to you one night and as you were sleeping, and that she told you in no uncertain terms that your offspring must be named Shaun because her first maiden or court maiden became pregnet by her brother, Mary Queen of Scots brother I mean, and that they named him that after a scoundrel who insisted that they buy a horse that had bad teeth, the reason they wanted to name him Shaun was because it was to spite him and his horse, i mean they just took his name with no blessing from the scoundrel so this was the spite, later on the scoundrel he was beheaded by Mary for trying to sell the same hose to a cousin of hers, anyway the tradition must live on. I'm Scots you must stand firm on this of course id name him Mcgreager but that is just me i mean no pressure here just a thought. By the by is your husband a high lander or a low lander?? I'm a Muirhead tough bunch for sure.
    My son has a unique name and many people did not like it especially my mother-in-law and she wanted us to change but that was not going to happen. My son is almost 13 weeks old and the name has grown on her and she calls him by his full name rather than the nickname we call him. I am sure once your son is born he will get over it, it is your child to name not his!
    You should have your husband sit down with you and his father and explain to him that this is your guy's decision and that although you appreciate his suggestion you wish for him to leave it alone and accept the name. Let him know how much it bothers you that he is so persistent in trying to get you to name the child what he wants and not what you want. If he continues then let him know that until he accepts the child's name that you will not speak to him any further this way he can't make you feel guilty for choosing the name that you want.
    Keep the name you and your husband have chosen. You get to name your children 'cause you made them:-). Congratulations and best wishes.
    All you can do is either keep telling him that you are sticking with your choice. Or just ignore him when he does this. Has your husband tried talking to him about this?

    Whenever my hubby and I have our second child we have a boys name picked out already. Jackson Lawrence. I picked the names but my hubby aggreed on them that he liked the sound of it together. Lawrence is my father's middle name, he passed away when I was 17, and Jackson is a family surname on his mother's side. My father-in-law is also Jack but he doesn't want us to name a child after him for some reason.

    I was talking to my mother-in-law at thanksgiving about baby names, my son is Gabriel Alexander and my nephew is Alexander Nicholas. I told her that after I heard my sister-in-law was having a boy and naming him Alexander Nicholas, I liked the name and it sounded good with Gabriel. It was really the only name I liked with Gabriel at the time. She said I could have used Adam instead. My hubby is Shaun Stephen Adam. I just never liked the name Adam, plus I already had a cousin by that name. She seemed a little put off when I told her that I didn't like the name Adam when she had used it in one of her own children's names.

    It is a personal decision. I would just try your best to tune him out. You both have chosen the name you like and have good reason behind it. Maybe in a polite way you should tell him where to go next time he tries to persuede you otherwise.
    That would piss me off as well. I am sure he isn't meaning to be rude, either that or he doesn't realize that he is. Next time tell him jokingly that if he likes the name so much to save it and have another child so he can use it. The time is to quit being so polite and be more forceful. Tell him again that you have chosen Shaun and that is that and he needs to quit pushing you. Good Luck!
    I would stick with Shaun and I would say I respect your thoughts, but my husband and I have decided on this before we even got pregnant. I have a friend name Shaun that was murdered. I think that it is great that you are naming your son after your friend that died.
    In this day and age, the grandparents do NOT name the child.

    I had a brother in law try to be my ';daddy'; a while back. I was 48 years old at the time. I told him ';you don't run my life and you never will'; and hung up the phone. Name the child whatever you want and tell grandpa that it is YOUR decision, not his.
    It's your child, And I Like your reason for naming the child. Tell him that he's wasting his breath, and that if he doesn't wanna call him Shaun than he can call him by his middle name or ';sport'; or something to that effect. If you have explained the significance than you need to tell him that you Love him but he needs to respect your decision. Everybody kept suggesting names to us but we didn't decide until an few hours after she was born, But we didn't take any of her Grandparent's%26lt; great grandparents included%26gt; But they Love her just the same. In the End, You'll know if the name suits him. Go with your gut.
    lol everyone thinks they got to have an opinion lol i even do it to ppl who want to name there kids something to popular like in the top 25 you can either tell him that you are sure that is want you want and that its the name that Ian is used to. or if he is terribly persistent tell him you had a boyfriend named Andrew or just a friend or you can always make your hubby deal with him.
    Your father-in-law is being very obnoxious. We chose not to tell people the name we'd chosen until after the baby was born just to avoid this situation. Maybe your husband should tell his dad to lay off.
    UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH my mother-in-law is doing this to me! I am having my first child, her first grandchild, and the baby's father and I do not want to do the Junior thing or have a name from the top 100 (both of us having very common names...Alex and Jessica).

    We have selected the name Xander Ryan (my partner's name is Alex Ryan...Alex-Xander...Alexander...see?). My mother in law HATES it. She thinks a first-born son should be named after the father EXACTLY and should be called Alex Junior (*shudders*) or at least named directly after a member of the family, such as James Daniel after his great-grandfather (';You could call him Jim Dandy! Isn't that sweet???';). When we stood our groud she conceded that maybe his FIRST name could be of our choosing, but he should be called by his middle name, which should be a family name (';How about Tyler after his uncle?';).

    She just doesn't quit. So I just don't discuss it with her anymore. Last time she brought it up, I told her we had already had monograms done with his initials and weren't really considering changing the name anymore. It really hurts my feelings and bothers me that she thinks she has the right to name OUR son, but I figure he'll be named whatever we put on the birth certificate and she'll just have to get over it. Good luck in dealing with your in law as well.
    I had the same problem with mine. I liked the name Trinity Rayne but my dad said it sounded too ethnic. Those weren't his exact words, but you get the idea. My daughter's half hispanic.

    I did change the name after I tried out Trinity with the surname my daughter would be taking. He doesn't like her middle name now. =)

    In the end, it's still your choice. Go with what you want and what feels right to you. After the baby's born, your father-in-law won't care what his name is...because he has a new grandbaby!
    i was in the same situation

    ~~~good luck~~~
    When he says you should name him that name again tell him to stop it and be quiet.
    My sisters dont like the name i picked for our son who will be born in Sept.
    Joseph Alexzander.
    I had it picked before i knew it was a boy, lol.
    I told them i wasnt changing my mind and to deal with it. Still wont sink in with them either, but firm voice and attitude towards it when he mentions it will help.
    Tell him he will know anouther Shauns pretty soon and to get use to it.
    Feel better? It is your baby and you have chosen a wonderful name. Stick with it!
    How incredibly rude. It obviously means a lot more to you and he is being very disrespectful against your friend. You should tell him so, so he will be quiet.
    I would name your child Shaun and not worry about the Grandparents it is your choice believe me they will get over it and love the child no matter what
    As soon as he carries the baby 9 months and pushes for 24 hours he can name the baby.
    Let people offer suggestions (they are going to anyway), smile, then do whatever it is you want and feel is best. That's also good to remember in the future when you get advice from moms, dads, grandparents, neighbors, and random people at the grocery store. Smile and nod, smile and nod!!
    Lol well i got grandparents that want to try to tell me how many kids i shall have. LOL atleast they want you to have em !!!! But ifs your choice on what you wanna name your child Good Luck
    Ok people help me out please. Give me advice?
    Ok around last year I broke up with my ex for my other ex which was really immature. I've been trying to look for her and I found her like 2 days ago. We talked on webcam and we were talking about a little bit about our past relationship and I asked her to start over with us from scratch and forget about the past and she said ok. so we're friends for now. We were talking until she started stopping, (which just proves I have a chance I think. If we were friends wed be talking everyday or whatever) She said she wants to focus on school right now and date later in the meantime shes making all types of friends. Do you think I have a chance or do I not have any chance at all? Is there any way to increase my chances? Give me your opinion?Ok people help me out please. Give me advice?
    You should keep talking to her, if she keeps making lame excuses, then shes not interested and doesn't like you. Sorry.
    For people who don't mind maybe giving advice or just listening?
    Ok. I decided to vent here because I feel really uncomfortable venting to family or friends. Stupid, right? Maybe. Anyway, I see my family in love with their spouses, my brother falling in love, and my friends starting to get more serious in their relationships. I feel a little lonely. I know I'm not supposed to look, I'm supposed to find the right guy along the way and everything, but part of me still wonders when I'll find someone. When will I find someone that I care about and that cares about me too? For the first time in my life, I want someone there. I'm not exactly sure why and it's weird to want it, because before, I never really did. I don't know what to do with, or what to make of what I feel?For people who don't mind maybe giving advice or just listening?
    i feel exactly the same way!!! that sounds exactly like me top to bottomFor people who don't mind maybe giving advice or just listening?
    Wells i mean at a certain point when you see everyone moving along in life and starting a family and all you will feel that way. but there is a perfect guy out there for you, maybe he's in your life already and you just dont know yet. But dont worry he'll fine a way to you or you both will meet along the way
    Don't worry. I've felt the same way but I know that Mr.Right is out there somewhere... I just haven't met him yet. Plus, enjoy bein single while you can cause once you're married you're stuck with it till ya die! (not to be somber or anything!)
    People in general are most likely to vent to strangers. Well it'll happen when your least looking for a mate :) Beleive me its better not to look and just let it happen. how old are you???
    The reason you don't have one is because you don't want one...find out why.
    There is hope! Dont worry it will come!
    how old are you in the first place? if your under 35 then you dont need a serious relationship. go out and have fun
    Well, I don't know if your a male or female, but if your a female then it's just your ';biological clock'; ticking. That's all. If your a male, then it's because your tired of being alone. Which is actually true for both genders. Although men don't admit it, they do have a biological clock but it's not as adept as women's. Men want to reproduce just as bad as women do. They just don't realize it till later. Women normally only want a few while men want children EVERYWHERE. Lol, jk.
    But honestly, don't fret upon it. Everyone gets lonely. It's in human nature to feel that way. If you concentrate on self-contentment, you'll find that women seem to come out of nowhere. Keeping a positive attitude, taking pride in your appearance and advancing with your career? All of those things combined and you have the perfect man. Every woman is looking for a confident man and I guarantee you'll find someone with those things. I hope you have a good one hun.
    -Later Gator-
    Wise people of P&S! I need your advice?
    Okayyy so...one of my friends and I were walking home and were at a corner and this car came up and beeped the horn and she waved at him. I was like, who is that? And she said he's her computer repair guy; he works at the local store in town. So I peeked in his car (which was a really nice sleek car; a huge turn-on for me) and whoamygod, he was GORGEOUS. So I made her tell me everything she knew about him and found out that he's single! I'm definitely interested in getting to know him, but I'm not sure how to get to that =/
    I know this is lame but I'm bad at this stuff lmaoWise people of P%26amp;S! I need your advice?
    Umm you should ask him if he could give you a ride next time and take it from there.
    Complements like ';nice car'; and something whitty like 'hot car and hot driver all-in-one'
    Lol
    that'll make him laugh
    and say ';soo you're good with computers? r u good with taking a girl on a date?';
    Or sumem to that effect.
    Dont sound like youre trynna be trashy or too forward tho he'll probably just take u for that type of girl and thats it.
    see where it goes
    n lemme kknow sounds interesting.Wise people of P%26amp;S! I need your advice?
    Smash your computer in with a hand axe. (:
    Haha just calm down and talk to him. Just be funny and flirty and gorgeous and you won't have any problems.
    Good luck! :)
    If you are under 18, and he is caught with you, he goes to jail for many years.
    how old was he?
    edit:
    Call him at the store he works at and tell him you need some ram
    I think its time for you to go get your computer repaired.
    just do it... go to the repair shop... talk with him... then if your still interested ask him out...
    lol.
    have your friend introduce you..?
    wise people?
    haha
    you wish i was jealous lol but im not xP..
    Well, since your friend already knows that you are interested in meeting him, I would suggest your friend introduce you to this guy. If that is too embarrassing, you could do the good old ';bump-into-him-on-purpose-and-pretend-yo鈥?trick. You know, go to the computer store with your friend and pretend as if your friend is looking for something computer...ish. Then, bump into him ';accidentally';. He will probably recognize you and then your friend can introduce you there. Or, you could just introduce yourself..lol:) I do not know about you, but I like guys who introduce themselves instead of getting other people to make the first movie, so that guy may think the same thing as me.
    Orrrr....you could just ask his help with something...idk tell him you have some problem with you computer(pretend you think the speakers are out and put them on mute and he will come and he will just say that theres nothing wrong, it was on mute, and you could say ';you didnt know-you just got a computer'; and ';would you help me figure out how to use a computer?'; and ask him about how to do stuff on the computer that you really dont know how to do or make them up. If you do not want to lie at all, then just say that you need his help on something about your computer that you dont know how to do..I am sure you do not know EVERYTHIng about your computers. Also you can ask him how to get more memory on your computer, to clean out uneccasary files on your comp, or ask him what are the best stores to shop at for computer stuff.
    If you do not want to do any of this, then simple BE YOURSELF and go to the computer store, say hi to him, give him a complement, and walk away. He will want to say something so he will call after you unless hes busy. Do not bug him while he is working , though!
    You can also just be yourself and when he's off, get his email form your friend and ask your friend what she knows about this guy and if you guys have anything in common.If you do then you could send him an email saying ';Oh my god, my friend told me you like/do ______! I love that to! How did you get into it? '; You know then he will be interested to talk to YOU! But start out the email as a simple greeting, and then say the above stuff.
    lols i am a wise person yeha i goof around a lot of times and yeha i am class clown for most part and yet i get good grades idk how i do it but yeah, so my friend i have a couple of advice as i will warn you advice often is given in the persons view but i will give you advice in my view and in the law abiding view: first you have not fallen in love you are simply in affection or want as you see we humans often fall in affection in a person for their looks lols it can be call love at first sight yet is possible and just affection problem is we don't even know that person well and we paint a picture of who they are, so its like flipping a card and trying to see if you got it right.
    second advice: lols love has no boundaries and love works in a twisted way you never know.
    third: keep the good part of this advice and discard the rest take what helps you.
  • Hey people!!!!!!! I feel lonely. I need some advice.?
    I' m 19 and i feel like i don't have any close friends. I'm not a nerd. i can make new friends easily. I'm the type of person who can get more than five girl's number in a day. I don't think it's hard at all. My problem is that i don't like calling people. They are usally the ones who call me. Which makes it really hard for me to get close to anyone. Right now, i have about 30 numbers ( including boys) in my phone but i don't have a close relationship with any of them. Can anybody help. What do you guys think of this problem? Anyone has an advice?Hey people!!!!!!! I feel lonely. I need some advice.?
    I think you need to pick up the phone and just dial! Even though you dislike it, you went get anywhere if you just stare at the numbers on your phone and not do anything about them. There's no point in getting them.Hey people!!!!!!! I feel lonely. I need some advice.?
    Well,I think you should call every last one of them %26amp;%26amp; ask them how's school so your convo isn't boring.
    It is not always easy being a go getter. I am somewhat shy myself. I often find myself forcing my to be involved in things that involves more than a few people. The good thing is after I reach down inside and make the first move It gets easier. Just try to rely on your inner strength.
    Sadly, I have the same problem :( except I have tons of numbers in my phone and I have tons of friends on my Myspace (all that I kno personally). However, I am not close to many of them because I am afraid to get close to anyone for fear that im gonna get hurt. I moved to American 4 years ago and Im still adjusting because I miss my family %26amp; friends. But you gotta realize that the only way you can give yourself a shot at friendship or being close to someone is to not be afraid to get close. Call ppl up ask them to hang out, do stuff with them. Dont be afraid to get close to ppl, open up and dont wait for them to call, call sometimes. What's the worst that can happen?? Serioulsy, we've all been rejected one way or another, but that doesnt mean we have to shut everyone out. Now go call someone, see of they wanna hang out :)
