Dreams about people from your past??? Please I need advice!?

I had a boyfriend in highschool for about 3 years. He was my first love and high school sweetheart. He was great to me, treated me awesome but I just wasnt feeling it anymore so I broke off our relationship when I left for college. He was DEVASTATED, and wouldnt leave me alone for a few months after. I felt horrible for what I did, but I was just unhappy and needed to move on. I moved on very quickly, and I started dating a really great guy and I am still with him 2 years later. I love him to death and I know he is the one I want to be with. For some reason, I keep having reoccuring dreams about getting back together with my ex, and being happy and excited when he took me back. I rarely, if ever think about him but for some reason I have these dreams and I dont understand why. Its been almost 2 years since I broke up with him, we have not spoken since I broke up with him and we didnt exactly end on good terms. I dont love him anymore, or have any feelings for him yet in my dreams I feel like I do. Can anyone help me understand why this is happening?Dreams about people from your past???
