Please advice on first car, honda and toyota people?

I am about to turn 19, and since I'm not one of those people that get their first car from their parents, I have been putting away some money and need advice. I have my mind set on a honda or toyota, and yes that includes acura and lexus. I want something reliable, that can make it past 220,000 miles and still drive beautifully without any problems. Smooth ride preferred, gas efficient, nice horse power, and preferably two door. Also something I can make into a project car later with a nice swap or some boost or something. I demand manual transmission lol. And please no civics, i love them ad they're great but it's really hard to find one that has not been abused by little amateur racers. I am a responsible driver and will treat it like a baby, just to school, then work and back home. Please suggestions. Coupes and hatchs preferred. HEY,, WELL , I WOULD SAY... HONDA ACCORD!!!!! THE 2 DOOR 1 IF THATS WHAT YOU WANT.... THEY ARE AWSOME AND THEY COME IN 4 CYLINDERS AND 6 CYLINDERS,, SO YOU NEED TO DECIDE IF YOU PREFER TO SAVE GAS OR TO HAVE A NICE POWERFUL CAR.....





TOYOTA SOLARA IS ALSO A GOOD ONE,, AND THEY ALSO COME IN BOTH (4 %26amp; 6) CYLINDER.... SO CHECK THEM OUT,, AND GOOD LUCK FINDIND THE PERFECT CAR FOR U

Not to sound mean but it sounds like you're pretty much an amateur yourself there Ricer Girl =P. If you want something in the mode of power / handling then check out the Mitsu EVO, Subaru WRX or better yet, the STI. They're all 4 door models but trust me, it will BLOW away any Honda, Acura, Toyota, Lexus, Scions out there...........save the old Supra Turbo MK IV.





A new WRX runs for about $25k, the EVO X you can find for $29.5k, and the STI for $36k. But you can find older used ones for half the price and actually, the older EVOs and STIs look better.





Trust me, they're fast! And the EVO......I hang 90 degree turns at 45 mph with absolutely no body roll on my EVO. I've modded it where I can beat nonturbo Porsches.
