If someone asked my advice I would not be mean to their face so why are some people on here so mean??

God that is so right I asked a question about my friend and how I felt and how I was and I got mean answers which I would never give mainly cos my friend who I would have confided in is no longer my friend but before that I didn't have probs any way but yeah you're so rightIf someone asked my advice I would not be mean to their face so why are some people on here so mean??
They are called cowards who express themselves throught the safety of the Internet, yeah i can name a couple, travelle, dirtyleg, a couple of losers i noticed cant just give a good reasonable answer but just plain bash people and think they are above others, i cant stand those types.If someone asked my advice I would not be mean to their face so why are some people on here so mean??

Depends what you mean by being mean. If you ask for advice you have to accept that people may have completely different views to you. That does not make them mean. The other thing to remember is that there are a lot of mean people out there- so don't ask a question if you don't want to risk somebody giving you an answer you don't like.
Because they are not having to be mean to someones face.The meanies are anonymous but so are the recipients of thier meaness.I don't take it personal simply because we are all strangers on here.
That's simply the way of humans on the internet.

They are brave because they are anonymous! The chances of them actually seeing someone they were rude to and being recognized are slim to none, so they feel confident in saying things they wouldn't normally say!

I'm only mean when the questions are stupid, fake, or unreadable due to spelling mistakes.

because 1. if you met them you would know not to ask them for advice


2. they are immature either by age or brain


3. they don't realise they are writing to real people as they play online for fantasy escape games


4. some people put outrageous questions and wind them up


5. they are weak ineffectual people who get kicks from the little bit of power they feel on here


6. they are thick


7. they really don't know any better


8. they are so wierd that they only interact with online people as nobody would like them if they met


9. they are mentally ill


10. they like bad things to happen to them...what goes around comes around


my best advice is to ignore them and just read the good answers...nasty people are expressing their own stuff and it's nothing to do with you really.
You're first 6 answers sounded ';right-on';, and I can only add that, as ';Bakaneko'; said, there's a lot of ';flaming'; and ';venting'; that goes on in a ';protected'; environment like the wonderful internet, and a lot of cowards take ';advantage'; of that, even though I can't see the ';advantage'; in being such an uncouth coward, and general pain-in-the-backside. As you get older, you'll see more the sorry state humanity has taken. I hope your life is filled with more respectable souls. God Bless you.
Most people won't be rude in person because to much conflict ecspecially the chance at physical might arise. Have you ever heard the term ';internet tough guy'; that is what a lot of the rude people on here are. Not to mention you get a wide variety of people and sadly enough not everyone turned out to be a nice and decent human being!
I an always very surprised at the amount of flaming that goes on , especially in forums , not on answers per se , but on normal forums more.





I presume it's a way for people to vent their frustrations without having a face.





You would be surprised at how many mean hearted people there are in this world, that are silent in real life for society's sake.
Because its all fairly anonymous with no real comebacks and no threats of violence or other silliness...and because they can in their silly little way

because they can hide behind their animated avatar and take heir anger and stuff out on other people that are probably feeling vunerable (depending on the q) and they get their kicks doing so.
Because it does come down to manners. If you have no respect for others, then you also have no respect for yourself. ';Do unto others as they would do unto you';, old, but true.
I think its because they are unhappy with their life and so they vent their anger on any question they dont like and the person that posted it
The power of anonymity is strong. Younger people especially feel empowered by not being 'seen' and test the limits of themselves. Quite often these people are lovely really and just need to be brutal and throw their emotional weight about in an environment which is 'safe'. There is room enough for all of us. The secret is to pay no attention and see it for what it is.
because they are on the other side of a computer and it's easy to be mean and cruel when you don't have to look at someone
Because when you answer on the internet, you can say all the things you want to without any fear of something really bad happening to you.

i think you get mean people everywhere but obviously theres quite a few on here, cant understand why there like that, being polite, caring and kind costs nothing, take no notice of people like that, there just scum.
because people on here think they are cool but to other people like me i think they are just plain mean and gay :)
