Our 6 month old Beagle pee's when people pet her and also when shes in trouble.... Advice on how to stop?

Thank goodness we have tiled floors, well except for the bedrooms. Our almost 6 month old Brandy Lynn has a peeing problem. We have a big privacy fenced in backyard that she is out in constantly. Atleast a few times a day she pee's when someone is giving her attention. At first we thought it was a excited thing, but then she started doing it when we would discipline her. Even using the ';I mean it'; voice she will squat right down and pee. If anyone can help or just give their advice or stories about this that would be awesome...Our 6 month old Beagle pee's when people pet her and also when shes in trouble.... Advice on how to stop?
It sounds like Submissive Urination. It is more typical in females than males.http://files.hsus.org/web-files/PFL_PDF/鈥?/a>

I have a Border Collie with the same problem. The shelter said I would have to give her doggie downers everyday. There was NO WAY I would do that. It took some time, but she is 75% better. Just be patient. Our 6 month old Beagle pee's when people pet her and also when shes in trouble.... Advice on how to stop?
When people greet her what they are doing is reaching over her and being dominate. Your dog is fear peeing. When you discipline her well your scaring her so your dog once again is fear peeing. .

When people come to the house tell them not to touch her or give her eye contact and to ignore her.

Your discipline methods are not working. Try a different technique. You know you can just look at your dog with a pretty good stare and not have to say anything and she gets the point.
Well the only thing i can think of is that she will just grow out of it but a good thing to do is when she pees grab her by the scruf witch if you dont know is the back of the neck and just grab her there pick her up dont worry it wont hurt her. And just put it in her face (not really but close enough so she knows) and than kick her out than after a bit of doing that she sould learn but i think she just needs to grow out of it.
Some dog trainers have said if you take the dog out more times during the day, give them less to drink that it will help limit that problem, my aunts dog had to actually be put on medicine to help stop it because it turned out the dog was having bladder problems. You may want to check with you vet to make sure nothing is wrong with the dog
do not take the advice 'bill b' gave you, i am a professional dog trainer, and know for a fact that punishment for submissive/fear urination is not the key! she seems to have a self confidence issue, be very cautious when greeting and confronting her, and keep in mind it may never change
It sounds like brandy lynn is very submissive dog.Or he is very nervous give him confidence by feeding him treats when someone is petting him so he isn't scared but if this does not work then i think you should see a vet it might be medical issue.
I had a ten yr old dog do that, maybe it's time to bring back the diapers.
dont pet her
She is still a puppy. She will eventually stop doing that. My dog had the same problem
